Drawing on the work of Maria Montessori, he discusses the value of silent exercises for young children. Pieter is an associate professor at KU Leuven and curator of the Leuven DisABILITY Filmfestival. He is also finalizing his book Silence in the Classroom: A History of Modern Schooling.
